Kerwyn Phillip, MBA, is an author, small business consultant and financial literacy advocate. He recently released his first book, “Malik’s First Job: Financial Principles for Teens” about a young man who seeks financial advice from his father. Since the book’s release, Mr. Phillip has appeared on NBC-12 (Richmond), The Michael Colyar Show, Real Black News with Raqiyah Mays, Soul Logistics Radio and several other social media outlets.
A lifelong educator and financial literacy advocate, Mr. Phillip has taught Economics and Personal Finance in Henrico County Public Schools, and facilitated financial literacy workshops at Richmond Public Library, Henrico County Public Library and Chesterfield County Public Library. In 2016, his organization, The Ndugu Business & Leadership Academy, partnered with the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of African American Studies on their SWAGIFY Financial Literacy Research Project. Also in 2016, he received the Manny Award from My Brother’s Keeper of Greater Richmond for contributions to the community in Central Virginia.
Kerwyn Phillip is a Brooklyn, New York native, who earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Morgan State University and his master’s degree in Business Administration from Averett University. His passion is teaching leadership, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy to youth in under-served communities.
CJ Walker holds the position of Vice-President at the Youth Business Exchange. A native of Richmond, Virginia, she completed her education in Richmond Public Schools and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
From the young age of 14, CJ has been actively involved with youth, beginning as a volunteer at a local church's summer program. She continued her engagement as a mentor and volunteer for Richmond Public Schools. By 22, she took on the role of program director at Genesis House Community Center, where she initiated several after-school and summer programs for both the center and her local church. She also directed a local behavioral health program.
In 2005, CJ's career progressed as she became an Instructor for the City of Richmond's Before and After School Program, quickly advancing to the position of Recreation Center Supervisor.
CJ started Walker Business Services, an administrative and consulting firm, in 2009. Over eight years, she assisted many individuals with resume writing, grant and business plan development, and the efficient launch of their businesses.
In addition to her role at the Youth Business Exchange, CJ oversees Metro RVA Teens LLC, a digital platform for teenagers and parents in the Metropolitan Richmond, Tri-Cities, and surrounding regions. She also works as a freelance writer and advocates for diabetes patients, while jointly operating Jaleija Designs LLC, a custom design company, with her husband.
CJ cherishes her life with her husband, Charles and their three children, whom she homeschools.
Sean Young is a man dedicated to serving the community. He is a husband, father, and business owner. He works in the human services and mental health fields as well as serves as pastor of Second Liberty Baptist Church in Quinton, VA. He serves as the co-owner and Senior Consultant of S&E Consulting, LLC, which is a consulting firm offering government contracting proposal writing and grant writing services tailored to small businesses and nonprofits.
Mr. Young is a graduate of Morehouse College with a BA in Sociology. He went on to earn a Master’s of Divinity degree with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Mr. Young has also taken master’s level social work courses at the University of Georgia and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Mr. Young is an author of three books: Brother to Brother: Motivation for Young African American Men, On the Shoulders of Giants: The Legzvy of Second Liberty Baptist Church, and Steps Toward God: A Thirty Day Journey to Greater Faith. Mr. Young is co-founder of the Youth Business Exchange.
Pamela Spratley is a native of Richmond, VA's tri-city area. She holds degrees in Early Childhood Education, Business Management, and Adult Literacy. She is working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership, with an anticipated graduation year of 2026.
Pamela has always had a passion for education and leadership. Early in her career, she taught pre-k, led youth religious leadership programs, and held many other teaching and facilitating positions.
Since 2012, Pamela has been a part of the Virginia Commonwealth University family, currently working in the School of Education. In addition, Pamela runs and operates three part-time businesses, one of which is The Enough Foundation, 501 © 3 non-profit, where she operates several entrepreneurship programs, one being The Young CEO program, dedicated to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship.
Pamela enjoys helping youth reach their highest potential. She helped her eight-year-old daughter start her own organic lemonade business and grow it to an impeccable level of success. In 2022, Pamela and her daughter launched the Summer Vendor Series, providing space for youth vendors to sell their products and services to the public in a child-friendly environment.
Through programming and public speaking, Pamela enjoys sharing her knowledge of navigating the world of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and creating sustainability.

Nadia Greene is a native of Richmond, Virginia. She recently graduated from Georgetown University, where she obtained her M.A. in Communication, Culture, and Technology and developed an interest in strategic communications and corporate social responsibility. While at Georgetown, Nadia served as Chief of Staff for the Black Graduate Student Alliance. Nadia is also a proud alumna of Howard University where she earned a B.A. in International Affairs. Ms. Greene is passionate about music, traveling, and learning about other cultures in her spare time and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Melissa Phillip Greene is the heart and soul behind InnerVision Consulting, where she brings her superpowers as a virtual assistant to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations. A proud Brooklyn native, Melissa traded the hustle and bustle of the city for the charm of Richmond, VA, in 1995—and she’s been making waves ever since.
With a background in non-profit management, Melissa has worn many hats, from operations guru to fundraising strategist and HR dabbler. But her talents don’t stop at the office! When she’s not helping clients achieve their visions, you’ll find her leading the charge as a Girl Scout leader, whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen, or nurturing her urban garden. Melissa is also deeply rooted in her church community, where her passion for service and her mantra of "love over everything" truly shine.
